The Colours collective launches today and it’s totally amaze!

If you’re in Auckland this weekend, head to Ponsonby Central to check out Colours – a pop-up exhibition featuring a group of New Zealand’s coolest artists.

The launch gets underway this Friday and runs through to Sunday, October 16.

While there will be plenty to check out at the exhibition including live art, there’ll also be music and a boutique craft market.

The collaborative force behind the event, Samual Ryan said the collective was formed to help artists find other ways of showing and selling their works in more interactive community spaces.

“Galleries have their place and have done a huge amount to help artists they exhibit, but Colours is introducing a fresh initiative that empowers artists to communicate with a wider audience, collaborate and support their local communities,” said Samuel.

Top New Zealand contemporary artists showing as part of the exhibition include Andrew J Steel, Charlotte Graham, Flox, Jimmy James Kouratoras, Layla Walter and Sam Mathers.
