It’s hard not to be a little skeptical about beauty products that just seem too good to be true. We are all wise enough to know a genie isn’t going to pop out of a pottle of skin cream and magic our problems away by turning the clock back a few decades! But there are some excellent lifting, firming and smoothing products available, and if you cast aside the fakes and phonies, you’ll find a good number – the result of years of science and studies – that really do deliver on their claims.

NIVEA Body Contouring Cream, $11. 2. Preveage Body Total Transforming Anti-Aging Moisturiser, $253. 3. Decleor Aromessence Sculpt Firming Body Serum, $128. 4. Creme de la Mer Reperative Body Lotion, $325. 5. Absolute Essential Aromatherapy Maternity Body Tone, $40.

DIMPLED SKIN
Diet, exercise and genetics all play a major part in whether or not we have cellulite, and although there is no magic lotion that will make it vanish, regular use of firming creams and the actual act of rubing them in all work to help firm and tone. This is an area where you may be disappointed if you are expecting miracles, but team one of these creams with improved diet and exercise and you’ll be sure to some results in skin texture and appearance.
