Inspired by the seductively hot climate of the 2014 Fifa World Cup host country, we’ve consulted L’Oréal Paris Makeup Director Lisa Matson on how to get the natural, bronzed look of a Brazilian bombshell.
Step 1: Moisturise and apply a primer to create a smooth canvas.
Step 2: Apply a sheer coverage of foundation, like L’Oréal Paris Lumi Magique, working from the centre of your face outwards. Remember to take the foundation colour down your neck in a V shape to match your face to your décolletage colour. Tip: Using a foundation brush to apply colour will ensure you use less product while achieving more even coverage.
Step 3: Create a diamond shape highlight through the middle of your face by dotting a highlighter two or three shades lighter than your foundation through the centre of your forehead and down over your nose. Continue doing this over eyelids, under eyes, across the centre cheek area, along the top of your cheek bones, above your upper lip and finally the centre of your chin. Blend evenly using a patting motion.
Step 4: Lightly dust bronzer around your outer face and jawline, down the bridge of your nose over the tip, over the apples of the cheeks and sweep out towards your temples. Tip: Use a large powder brush for bronzer and apply using light pressure in a circular motion.
Step 5: Finish your base with a light dusting of blush to the apples of the cheeks.
Step 1: Use a brow brush or clean mascara wand to lightly shape eyebrows.
Step 2: Fill in any gaps with a brow pencil, such as L’Oreal Paris Superliner Brow Artist.
