If you’re craving a fresh, plump, hydrated complexion, it’s time to embrace face oils. Here’s beauty editor Sarah Simpson’s pick of the pack.
1. L’Oreal Paris Age Perfect Extraordinary Oil, $40
Rosemary, marjoram and geranium are just three of the key ingredients in this gorgeous natural beauty potion. The scent of this oil is my favourite out of the five and the texture is the silkiest and lightest of the bunch, meaning a little goes a long way and absorbs in a flash. Use on any skin type to soothe, calm and hydrate the skin.
2. Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil, $63
This is a wonderful, strong-scented oil, which feels like luxury on the skin. A little goes a very long way and with the ingredient line-up featuring hazelnut, orchid and patchouli, this oil is the perfect wake-up call for your skin in the morning after cleansing. One drop and you will be set for the day.
3. Tan Organic Oil Arganic, $60
The dryness of this oil will have many of you addicted. This tall, lean bottle has a spray nozzle making application mistake-proof. The light rose scent isn’t too overpowering and glides onto the skin beautifully.
4. Jojoba 100% Natural Ultimate Jojoba Youth Potion, $60
Long before there was the hype around argan oil, jojoba extract oils were busy smoothing skin and reducing wrinkles, and this one is a favourite of mine. The earthy, sweet scent reminds you just how natural this product is. It glides beautifully onto the skin, leaving a very silky finish.
5. Argania Pure Certified Organic Moroccan argan oil, $25
This cute little old school dropper bottle houses very yummy-smelling, beautifully textured oil, which is bursting with essential fatty acids, vitamin E, antioxidants and of course the star ingredient argan oil, known for its restorative qualities. Use a couple of drops all over your face before you apply your moisturiser.
