On Browhouse

OFF WAX bars in Auckland have a new sister – ON BROWHOUSE. Owner Nicky Shore explains what goes on behind closed doors.

OFF and now ON BROWHOUSE, where did the idea come from?
There are a lot of frustrated brows owners out there. Fed up with having to “put on” their brows daily, women are looking for more than a temporary fix. We tackle brow thinness, proportion and gaps as well as colour. We have developed a long-lasting solution, brow tattooing using micro pigmentation, we have named browography that looks very natural and believable.

How does it work?
Unlike the cliché tattooed brow, we use a tool like a calligraphy pen with fine needles. This hand-etches fine, life-like hair strokes into the brow in a pattern that mimics your natural hair growth. It lasts for 12-18 months before brows need to be refreshed.

What’s your best brow tip?
Don’t force someone else’s brows onto your face. The best brow for you is a better version of your own.

Expect to pay, $895, and then $195 for touch-ups. Allow two hours. www.onbrowhouse.com is located at Suite 4, Level 1, 152 Quay St, Auckland.
