To achieve dewy skin, Matson says to “either mix an illuminating primer with a sheer foundation for an all over glow or apply a highlighter product, over foundation, to the cheekbones, bridge of the nose, middle of the chin and cupids bow only for a more controlled finish.”

We were all pretty puzzled when Chanel released a collection of red eyeshadows in 2016, but as Lily Collins can attest, the red eye trend is just getting started.
Matson says “the key to wearing bright eyeshadow ‘prettily’ is it needs to be applied lightly and blended well, so it becomes just a wash of colour. It’s important to select a shade that will enhance your skin tone as well as your eye colour.”

There’s no better way to create a polished look than tie your lips, cheeks and eyes together in matchy hues. As seen on Hailee Steinfeld.
“The trick to this look is to keep it subtle,” says Matson. “Favour nude or pastel shades, in similar colour ways and tones. For instant no hassle matchy-matchy just use one cream product (e.g. lipstick, blush or eyeshadow) and apply it on all three areas…boom…done!”

If you are afraid of going overboard with the glitter, never fear! Matson says: “The best place to apply eye glitter or shimmer, for that instant glam factor, is through the mid eye to inner eye corner area. To avoid a sparkly face from possible glitter fall out, apply your foundation and concealer last and/or wind surgical tape around your fingers (sticky side out) and daub over rogue glitter to remove it.”
