Georgia Fowler closed Yeezy in the coolest way.
Kiwi model Georgia Fowler closed Kanye West’s season five Yeezy runway show this week at New York Fashion Week.
The model took to the catwalk in high-rise slim fit black PVC pants tucked into white pointy-toed mid-calf boots and an oversized fur-trimmed jacket.
The 24-year-old model posted the video to her social media feeds saying: “I just closed Yeezy’s fashion show… yay! I can’t wait for you guys to see! I wish I could show you guys today… it was so dope!”
It’s a wonder there is any video footage at all, with a strict social media ban on the show and accredited media shown the door.
Fowler made headlines last year when she walked in the much-hyped Victoria’s Secret show in Paris with fellow international modelling stars Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner.
As we reported earlier, casting for this season’s Yeezy show has been recognised as being more inclusive with model Halima Aden walking in a hijab.
The show was held at Pier 59, and has been hailed as a change direction for the rapper-turned-designer.
The designer, whose previous collections were notably logo-free, now appears to be embracing branding. Some sweatshirts were sent down the runway stamped with Calabasas, and others with Lost Hills, the name of a collaborative album he is making with Drake.
West also up-ended tradition when he chose not to make an end-of-show appearance, which is customary for designers at the close of their shows.
