Kate Moss has launched her first collection for Equipment, the French fashion brand synonymous for its classic style and impeccable tailoring.

Moss herself says the appeal of the brand comes from that “boy/girl thing”.

“I’m a tomboy, really; I was always stealing Jamie’s [Hince] Equipment shirts. They’re just easy to wear, to pull on as a cover-up or whatever. The fabric just sits on your skin so nicely,” she told UK Vogue.

The 19-piece collection features an array of classic silk shirts with fun star prints, must-have black blazers and, of course, a nod to the supermodel’s 90s roots with a couple of slip dresses in black and python. “There’s a grungy spirit about it,” Moss says, “It’s never about being perfect for me.”

The campaign for the collection was shot by model Daria Werbowy and also features a video of Moss and gal pal Susie Cave in a room at the model’s Cotswolds home, “I’ve had so many parties, birthdays, and gigs [in that room]. I love that decadent feeling. Everyone should have a room with a stage, a mic, and a drum kit, don’t you think?”

Yes Kate, we couldn’t agree more!

The Kate Moss x Equipment collection is available to purchase at various retailers now, including Net-a-Porter.com.
