From mists to making air-drying more manageable, here are the hottest hair trends and treatments right now:

BlondeOlaplex

Faux blondes rejoice – Olaplex is here!
Industry buzz has been in overdrive at the arrival of Olaplex, a salon colour additive that allows you to colour and, particularly, lighten hair with no damage whatsoever. Developed by two chemists who hadn’t previously worked on hair products, Olaplex aims to link broken bonds that are created during and after colouring. It also claims to make them stronger than they were before. If you’re deep brunette but seeking a Kim K platinum moment, Olaplex could help make the transition fuss free for a small additional cost on top of the standard price. It gets the thumbs up from local stylists.

Kerastase

Make air-dried hair more manageable
Shiny, bouncy and naturally beautiful, the trend for chic air-dried hair is all the more manageable when prepping with Chronologiste, the most luxurious release yet from Kerastase. With an in-salon treatment as well as an at-home range that includes an exfoliating hair and scalp cleanser, shampoo and masque, and a fragrant finishing oil, the nourishing products will make ditching the blow dryer downright easy.
TRY: L-R – Crème de Regeneration masque, $69; Parfum en Huile, $58; Soin Gommage Renovateur pre-shampoo treatment, $50.

RedAlert

Red alert: Give fiery tresses a try
If you feel like it’s time for a bold new look, why not warm up to winter with fiery tresses. Locked and loaded with sexy red, it’s inevitable you’ll soon be turning heads. To accompany your new hue, Joico’s new Color Infuse Red Shampoo and Conditioner, $31 each, are formulated for redheads – natural and not-so natural. They gently cleanse and moisturise while depositing colour-boosting elements and increasing vibrancy and shine.

HairMists

Fragrant hair mists
Hair is porous and retains fragrance beautifully, however, traditional perfumes tend to be heavy on the alcohol, which can dry out your locks. Meet the new breed of fragrant hair mists. Our favourite way to work them? Spray on, then loosely knot locks for the day. Come night-time, pull the pins and allow a trail of soft scent to accompany perfectly imperfect waves. Ideal if you’re a hug-hello type.
TRY: L-R – Narciso EDP by Narciso Rodriguez Hair Mist 30ml, $70, and Miss Dior Hair mist, $70.
