Look out, these young women are making some major moves.

There is talent upon talent upon talent in this year’s Miss FQ Maybelline Influence Awards, but one category we particularly love every single year is Up and Comer (this year brought to you by the wonderful peeps at cool UK hair brand Lee Stafford) because it is all about showcasing the next generation of girl bosses who are on their way up; what’s even cooler is they are already doing some pretty awesome things but with the huge promise of what is still yet to come.

These young women hold the future in their hands and are gaining recognition and success in a variety of fields, from beauty to business, politics to protecting our planet; there’s no denying the reason they’re on your radar in the first place is because they are moving and shaking things up.

Named the Girls 20 Summit Indigenous Delegate where her objective was to represent Maori and Pacific views at the global table, Arizona is never shy to voice her opinions.

With an Instagram account curated like a top level professional ‘grammer and an undeniable talent when it comes to creating the latest beauty looks, we could get lost in this girl’s feed for days.


EZEL KOKCU

Ezel is the brains behind event ticketing app Passphere, which has just partnered with iTicket to deliver global ticketing solutions for all types of events. Watch this space!



KATIE SINCLAIR

Katie’s love for the environment has lead her to do beach clean-ups and other global initiatives, getting involved with her local community and ensuring the word gets out. Loving her planet makes all of us at Miss FQ love her and her work!


YESHE DAWA

While she might be more commonly known as the successful baker and businesswoman behind the hugely popular Midnight Baker, Yeshe is also getting involved in local politics and is the City Vision Candidate for Albert-Eden Local Board in Maungawhau.
