Say buh-bye to your precious pennies now that Instagram checkout is here.

If you’re anything like us, your Instagram habits were already on the verge of questionable – but now, the app has released their latest feature that puts even those habits at risk.

The introduction of Instagram’s latest feature (announced by Eva Chen, the platform’s director of fashion partnerships) offers users a ‘checkout’ that allows you to shop and buy items, without having to leave the grid – say what? The world of online shopping has officially changed.

Instead of clicking on that tempting product tag and being re-directed to purchase, users are given the option to ‘check out on Instagram’.

Checking out via the ‘gram doesn’t limit your options; a variety of sizes and colours are available as per a normal check out and are literally one click and scroll away.

All you need to do is pop in your payment details and delivery address (which yep, they’ll store and secure for the future purchases you know you’ll make) and your purchase time is officially sliced in half.

So far 20 brands have signed on to the programme including some cult classics like Zara, Nike, Nars, Kylie Cosmetics, Michael Kors, Burberry, H&M and Oscar de la Renta – to name a few – so it’s safe to say this feature gives you options.

The feature has rolled out in the US only so far, but it’s promised it’ll hit Australasian shores soon; so until then, better get saving.
