The lifestyle guru recently overhauled her pantry and kids’ playroom with amazing results!

Gwyneth Paltrow is the perhaps ultimate inspiration for practicing the art of a life well lived.

The founder of lifestyle brand Goop effortlessly embodies all the virtues of wellness: practicing yoga, eating wholefoods, enjoying a wine with friends and promoting her latest cookbook all while wearing minimal makeup!

Her beautifully balanced approach obviously extends to her home as well. Glimpses of her dreamy East Hamptons, New York abode can regularly be glimpsed on Instagram.

Like all of us however, Paltrow is not immune to clutter and she recently called in extra help to get organised.

The Home Edit is based in the US and run by organisation queens Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin, who can be hired to sort every space in your home with meticulous attention to detail.

While most of us cannot necessarily afford such a service, we can certainly glean some lessons from a sneak peek inside Paltrow’s cupboards, which The Home Edit gave us a preview of.

The playroom has been painted a soft lavender shade with walls of shelves and drawers for maximum storage. There is multitude of containers and baskets in various shapes and sizes for stashing the kids’ bits and pieces.

“We divided the room into activities on the left, and leisure on the right, and created zones for reading, games, art, crafts, and science,” they captioned. Colour-coded books, a kid-size sofa and framed photograph are some stylistic touches that complete the pristine look.

Paltrow’s panty is painted a crisp shade of white and has open shelves making it easy to spot food stuffs at a glance. The inclusion of sturdy baskets on the floor opens up that space for extra storage.

“We went with white, wood, and glass products to hold the essentials while keeping it light and airy,” The Home Edit said. It’s a look that is very much in keeping with the Hamptons theme and will prepare the household for a summer of (wholesome) feasting.

It seems clutter is public enemy number one with homemakers of late, since Marie Kondo’s The Lifechanging Magic of Tidying Up has taken the world by storm.

A disorganised home can cloud the mind, overwhelm the senses, and heap even more stress and anxiety into our lives so it’s worthwhile following Paltrow’s lead and sorting out the mess.
