How much do you change your beauty routine in summer?
It doesn’t change too much throughout the year but in summer I am extra vigilant when it comes to sunblock – I always make sure it’s in my moisturisers and primers etc. Generally my makeup routine is quite simple (for a makeup artist) – I don’t like to feel like I’m wearing too much makeup, I just like to look groomed.

What does your morning beauty routine look like?
I exfoliate every morning with Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, then I prep with Estee Lauder Idealist Serum, Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum, and moisturise with Embryolisse Moisturiser. I will use a little YSL Forever Light Creator CC Cream and MAC Prolongwear Concealer. My brows are groomed with Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow Cream, my eyelashes are curled and i swear by MAC Extended Play mascara. Blush at the moment is YSL Kiss and Blush (which i love as you can use on cheeks and lips) and then I highlight with MAC Diamonds Cream Colour Base. Lips change depending on my day but usually its a balm like Malin & Goetz Lip Moisturizer.

What tweaks do you make if you need to go out in the evening, or do you just start over again?
I would never start all over again! For evening I would swipe on a combo of my two all time favourite eye shadows: MAC Prolongwear Eye Shadow One To Watch and All That Glitters Eye Shadows. And add a bold lip.

How do you factor in wearing sunscreen with your makeup?
It’s easy enough to make sure that it is in my moisturiser and foundation but if I know I’ll be out in the sun during the day then I’ll use a specific sunblock. Estee Lauder Day Wear SPF50 is a great option.

What are your go-to beauty products for summer?
CC Cream with an SPF and a water proof mascara like MAC extended Play – if you have those then everything else is easy.

Do you ever have days when you go makeup-free?
Of course – but only when I’m spending the day at home or know I’ll be places where I can wear my sunglasses all day!

Makeup on the beach?
People should do whatever makes them happy. If it makes you feel great with a bit of makeup on at the beach then why not?

Do you have any tips on how to make your makeup stay on throughout the day in summer?
Wear products that are specifically made to be long wearing and keep everything minimal – the less product on the skin then the less that will melt off! Using great primers and skincare will do a load of work for your skin so that could be all you need to look great in summer!
