These new beauty products are turning heads at Miss FQ
Our beauty editor Megan Bedford brings you up to speed on some of the new beauty faves that have crossed Miss FQ‘s desk.
Clear Start Breakout Clearing Booster, $38 and Blackhead Clearing Fizz Mask, $38
Two new items in the arsenal against acne! The booster delivers active and botanical ingredients designed to settle oil and get rid of your breakouts quick smart, while the super-fun fizz mask gets rid of blackheads before they can turn into bigger blemishes. We like to use this one on my chin, nose and décolletage.
Avène Day Protector Tinted BB Cream SPF30 $49
If you love lightweight BB’s or you have sensitive skin, you’ll love this new gentle option. It has just enough dewy coverage to freshen and brighten skin, without looking like you’re wearing anything, plus a good dose of SPF, which we love!
Benefit Brow Contour Pro, $59
Just when you think they’ve covered every brow product known to (hu)man, Benefit keeps pumping them out! We have to say this new one is pretty cute. The retractable pen holds fine brow pencils in two colours (light for the start of the brow, deeper for the arch to tail), a definer (like concealer) to run underneath to sharpen the shape, and a highlighter to make brow bones pop!
Joy by Dior Eau De Parfum 50ml $195
The first new fragrance from Dior in 20 years, and it’s like it was made for us! Bright, fresh and youthful with happy notes of zesty citrus balanced with soft, whispering woods. If it’s good enough for J Law (the face of this scent) it’s good enough for us!
RevlonVolumazing Mascara, $25
Sometimes volumising mascaras overload lashes with gunk, but this one separates nicely, and the chunky brush gets every lash, for a pretty party look that’s smudge-proof.
Schick Intuition f.a.b razor, $17
A razor isn’t the most lust-worthy of products but when it works as well as this one, we feel it’s our duty to let you know! You can shave in both directions and the blades are well, razor-sharp!
Too Faced Metallic Sparkle Lipsticks, $35 and The and Now Eyeshadow Palette, $94
Given we’ve only started using Too Faced relatively recently, we were super surprised to learn the brand is currently celebrating its 20th birthday. But no complaints when we receive the gifts, in the form of the mega-shimmery birthday products. Fun fact: the brand started with 8 metallic lipsticks in 1998, so these new limited edition lippies with high pigment sparkle payoff have come full circle. There’s also an epic eyeshadow palette.
