Check out what’s going on for your star sign in December, from Miss FQ’s spiritual guru One Grounded Angel.
(March 21-April 19)
Looks like you may have some repairs to do, Aries, and I’m not talking about a sneaky putty fix on the wall to get your bond back. Your feisty, independent streak can sometimes see you rub others up the wrong way, and this month the Universe is giving you an opportunity to apologise for hurtful words (whether intended or not), and make amends for any actions that upset others. BTW, you’ll really need to watch your words around December 1, when a clash between Mars, the planet of aggression, and Uranus, the planet of spontaneity, mean your patience will be under more strain than the shelf holding all Lorde’s music awards. Instead of storming off and slamming the door like a stroppy teenager, try to take a deep breath and let. it. go.
How’s your whare? Jupiter, the planet of expansion, is in your eighth astro house, which is all about property. If you want to find a new house, this planetary match-up (which lasts until November 2018) is the perfect time to do it. Since the eighth house is also about joint assets, coupled-up Aries could take their relationship next-level by buying a house together (ooh, so grown-up!).

All that glitters is not gold, Taurus, and since you’re a magpie for shiny things, this message is the PSA you may not want to hear (soz). This month you, Ms lover of luxe, need to be super careful with your money, as Mercury is in retrograde through your eighth house, the zone of finances, from December 3 to 22. That means you could make some super-bad choices with investments, accidentally run up eyewatering levels of debt or even get sucked into online scams (hot tip: have you changed your passwords lately?). Don’t freak out – if you do your research, check and recheck everything everything everything, you could make savvy cashola decisions that work out veeeery well at the December 19 new moon (yep, the planets are hot and cold like Katy Perry this month).
When it comes to the peeps around you, be a lover, not a fighter. Around December 9 the planet of aggression, Mars, is setting off fireworks in your relationship house, so you might accidentally ignite tension with others. On the flipside, Mars can also ignite sparks of the sexual kind, so you could either tear strips off someone or tear their clothes off (yep, *totally* hot and cold…).
(May 21-June 21)
Not proud of your address in a torn-up town? Postcode envy? However you feel about your ‘hood RN, the planets are putting the focus on your whare. Whether it’s moving house, starting renovations or getting along better with your flatties, this month is all about helping you feel happier in your home. And from December 19 onwards Saturn hits your eighth house, the zone of soulmates and property, meaning you could even move in with bae (typical Gemini lol – any excuse for a party!). If you’re single and sooo don’t want to be, this planetary alignment is good news – it runs until March 2020, so you’ve got time to find your person, and combine addresses (phew!).
Beyond the home front, there are other changes in the air for Gemini. A December 16 trine (that’s astro speak for ‘a good alignment’) between the Sun and Uranus, the planet of rebellion, is urging you to boldly change things up. Step out of the shadows and do the things that your intuition pulls you towards. Make sure your own happiness isn’t dependent on other people’s choices – you must march to the beat of your own drum. Go live your best life, Gemini.
(June 22-July 22)
Cancer, are you heading for a Christmas break or a Christmas breakdown? Some of you are coping with pressure this month about as well as a Fruju handles being left in the sun. And *you* are the only one who can be your hero, baby. The Universe wants you to ease up on the workload and start saying NO to people. On December 1 Mars, the planet of aggression, is doing fisticuffs with Uranus, the planet of rebellion, so if there were ever a time to stand up for yourself against relentless demands, this would be it.
And from December 3-22, the madness increases, with Mercury, the planet of thinking, retrograde in your sixth house, the place of work and organisation. Meaning: if you can’t set realistic boundaries, your to-do list will stretch further than a long-weekend traffic queue on the Southern Motorway. Think before you agree to organise your team’s Christmas gathering, your niece’s kindy party, your street’s jingle-and-mingle, your dog’s wedding (hey, whatever you do for kicks)… remember: you can do some of the things, but not all of the things. You *will* have enough time and energy to do what needs to be done – so long as you don’t overcommit.
(July 23-August 22)

Are you feeling lucky, punk? Great opportunities are coming your way, Leo, but you’ll need to work work work work work. Your nana probably told you good things come to those who wait, but good things also come to those who do the work. If you’re plugging away at health or fitness goals, things will become much easier from December 19 when Saturn, the planet of structure, heads into your sixth house of health and organisation. As the eternally wise Dr Libby says: ‘It’s what you do every day that impacts on your health, rather than what you occasionally do.’ That means getting lots of sleep, exercising consistently and eating lots of nutrient-rich foods on the regular is way more valuable to your health than that one ‘fun run’ you did back in August.
When it comes to romance, love is a two-way street. Make sure you’ve got a good balance between give and take – totally smothering bae with kindness, micro-managing their life or acting as their therapist (or letting them do the same to you) does not a healthy relationship make. Singles, your most romantic day is December 19, when the sun, new moon, Mercury, Venus and Saturn all hit Sagittarius, the luckiest sign. Huzzah!
(August 23-September 22)

If Pink and Christina Aguilera can forgive each other, there’s hope for you too, Virgo. If you’ve still got beef with an ex or a friend who cruelly ghosted you, the planets are pushing you to make peace with happened, even though it was blatantly unfair, so you can move on. The opposite of love isn’t hate, it’s apathy, so if you’re still resentful towards someone, you’re still energetically connected to them (take note, Taylor Swift). On December 19 the Sagittarius new moon in your fourth house, the place of sensitivity, puts you in the right place for healing work – but you don’t have to actually contact the other person to do this. Sometimes when we’re angry at someone for hurting us, we’re secretly angrier at ourselves for *letting them* hurt us… do you need to forgive yourself, maybe? Time to repair that broken heart once and for all, don’t ya think?
BTW this energy around forgiveness definitely does *not* mean putting up with bad behaviour. Around December 3 the Sun clashes with Neptune, the planet of illusion, meaning you could get sucked in by a sob story or totally played by someone with bad intentions, so don’t let anyone take the piss.
(September 23-October 23)

Librans like using the word ‘no’ about as much as Gareth Morgan likes cats. But this month, lovely Librans, you’re being asked to use that powerful word for better adulting. Saying ‘no’ to excess spending instead of speed-clicking ‘add to cart’ like an overexcited toddler. Saying ‘no’ to dates who only call you when they’re on the beersies. Saying ‘no’ to draining obligations with bossy relatives who lecture you on your life choices, etc etc etc. Being more grown-up will be a major focus from December 19 until 2020, when the planet Saturn (which is all about boundaries) goes nuts in Capricorn (the sign of planning and goal-setting) and your fourth house (of home and family). Still awake? Yes, it sounds boring, but this is happening to force you to take control of your life – and you’ll be better for it.
Got something to launch or sell? The December 19 new moon plus a squad of helpful planets – Venus, Saturn, Mercury and the Sun (not technically a planet, but let’s go with it) – are all in your third house, the zone of communication. You’re so persuasive you could take on Suzanne Paul at her infomercial game. Get set to talk up a storm!
(October 24-November 21)
Justin Bieber reinvented himself from baby-faced to bad-ass in just a few short years, and RN Scorpio, you are being pushed to do some transformation all your own. Which is totally fitting since you are totes the sign of reinvention (true story: the phoenix rising from the ashes is one of the symbols of Scorpio). Jupiter, the planet that basically acts as a giant highlighter pen, is igniting your sign right into late 2018, making this your moment to shine. To really maximise this gift from the Universe, focus on your goals and dreams. Think about what you want to leave behind – you’ll need to be willing to cut ties with toxic relationships and workplaces – and who you want to be now. Think of it like your nana’s garden – she spends a bunch of time planting and weeding so that beauty can bloom later. It’s the same for you – the work you do now on transforming yourself from ‘lowkey’ to ‘living your best life’ will pay off big time over the next 12 months.
If you’re single and super-keen to change that, on December 9 Mars, the planet of motivation, shifts into Scorpio for the rest of the year, boosting your confidence and sex appeal. Hello, hotties!
(November 22-December 21)
It’s ya birthday, and the Universe has some presents for you. Unforch not all of them are on your wish list (and the Universe doesn’t do exchange cards, soz). Endings and beginnings are on the radar for you, and the best thing you can do is be at peace with that. Everything that is happening, you’ll be better for. The December 4 full moon is hitting your house of partnerships – in business and in love. You could find your romance reaches its final chapter, or starts an exciting new one. Orrrr you could break up with your boss, and high-tail it outta there faster than an Ed Sheeran concert sells out. Since this full moon also involves the sign of Gemini, associated with communication, the way you communicate is everything. Remember, words are like fake tan – they can be super helpful, but if you misuse them they’ll really leave a mark (not ideal).
Speaking of the moon, on December 19 the new moon in your sign brings you an early NYE. Take some time to think about what you’d like to create over the next six months (everything in astrology is in six-month cycles) and how you’ll get there. Sagittarius, it’s all about *you*.
(December 22-January 19)
Emoji: Peace sign
You know how a blue Powerade can make you feel brand new after a massive night? That sweet feeling of recovery, following dramas and strife, is on its way – but you might have to work for it. Up until Christmas Day, Venus, the planet of love, is in your twelfth house (all about healing), so if you’re still angry at an ex – or even still in love with an ex – this planetary dance will help you get much-needed closure. And just like the Hollywood sexual harassment scandal, there’s more still to unfold. From December 3 to 22, another zodiac hook-up pushes you to let go of grudges and bitterness. This could be anyone from the colleague who threw you under the bus to the neighbour who keeps stealing your wheelie bin. If you’re willing to just let it go, you’ll find life flows sooo much better.
Watch your communication this month, Cappy – especially from December 9 onwards. Mars, the planet of aggression, will hit your technology zone meaning emails and DMs could turn ugly. Sure, it might seem satisfying to tell someone what you *really* think, but online words can never be erased (just ask Lena Dunham), so think twice before hitting ‘send’ or ‘post’.
(January 20-February 18)

Who run the world? Right now, and up until next November, it might as well be Aquarians. Jupiter, the planet of expansion, is going off in your 10th house, the zone of ambition, so golden opportunities could be landing in your inbox almost as often as a Briscoes sale notification. You might score a dream job offer or a sweet promotion, or get a chance to ditch your role for a whole new industry. Since Jupiter also rules travel, you could find yourself travelling more or being relocated to another country (hello, airpoints bonanza!). A word of warning: even though this period is all about the slay, you could easily screw it all up with a lack of self-confidence. Back yourself, Aquarius… ambition looks good on you!
From December 19 until 2020 (for reals!), Saturn, the planet of boundaries, is squatting in your twelfth house, the area of closure and spirituality. Some Aquarians will find they just don’t ‘fit in’ with certain circles, and others will find a new sense of belonging in different groups. Maybe you’ll ditch a bad-news boyfriend. Maybe you’ll quit drinking and hook up with the No Beers Who Cares crowd. Whatever it is, you do *you*.
(February 19-March 20)
Emoji: Hand and pen
DIY on your house is expendy, but DIY on your life is mostly free (and it doesn’t involve dodging bickering couples in the aisles at Bunnings). This month is about repair and renovation. Jupiter, the planet of expansion, is in your ninth house, the place of optimism, until late next year, giving you scope to launch You 2.0. You could go back to uni in 2018, start a savvy new business or go backpacking through Southeast Asia. What you *do* doesn’t matter, the way you *feel* about it does. If you can lowkey project Kimmy Schmidt’s optimism, everything will come up Pisces. Don’t wait until NYE when you’re down a bottle of pinot – start big-picture dreaming now.
On December 28, some end-of-year magic illuminates your sign. Neptune, the planet of visions, hooks up with Mars, the motivation planet, to push you into some constructive daydreaming. What do you want to create in your life? What sort of person do you want to become? Channel every inspo quote on Pinterest to #dreambig. Creative energy is a major focus so if you’ve been thinking of picking up a paintbrush, learning a musical instrument or writing fan fiction, this is your sign to just do it.
