It was a party to rival even P.Diddy’s finest Hamptons effort.
The Miss FQ Colgate Optic White Influencer Awards brought together New Zealand’s finest blogging, vlogging and ‘gramming talent, put them in one room and celebrated these same women who are telling their stories in authentic, relatable, entertaining and inspiring ways. We did all of this while wearing white, and sipping on delicious cocktails from master mixologist Black Pineapple, because it wouldn’t be a Miss FQ event otherwise, would it?
WATCH THE PARTY UNFOLD HERE:
Back in July, we asked you, the Miss FQ readers, to tell us who YOU thought was killing it in the fields of Beauty, Business, Fashion, Fitspo, Food & Culture, Personality & Smile, Travel and Up & Comer. You came back in droves, and we had a hard time narrowing down to just five finalists for each category. We then turned it back to you, to vote for your favourites, and what you had to say came through loud and clear – you can read a round-up of all the inspiring winners here.
The awards ceremony at Auckland’s Thievery Studio was packed to the rafters with familiar faces and homegrown talent who all took on the ‘Blanc Out’ dress code like serious bosses. With George FM’s stylish DJ Sammie Whitaker on the decks, looking the part wearing her ice-white Baby-G watch, and her sweet tunes pumping from the cool vintage-looking Atlarge Audio speakers, the atmosphere was electric as guests arrived and mingled while enjoying delicious canapes by Collective.
Capturing the evening is important to any Instagram-loving attendee, so before heading to the Colgate Optic White Vixi Mini Photo Studio to have their photos taken Boomerang-style on the Vixi 180° camera, guests could pop into the Estée Lauder Powder Room for lipstick touch-ups using their new Pure Color Love range… and then take their lipstick of choice away with them to reapply later. Score! The small queues forming for the photo booth weren’t a problem, as in the meantime party-goers could enjoy the yummy red and white treats by the Jellyologist and then stock up on Colgate Optic White toothpaste. Because it’s all about balance amiright?
