Who is New Zealand’s most influential millennial?
We know how Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat and Insta-obsessed you all are and how much you love seeing Kiwi bloggers, vloggers and ’grammers killing it online. So, we want to celebrate you, the influencers of New Zealand. The inspiring, relatable, and authentic influencers. That’s why we are launching the first ever Miss FQ Colgate Optic White® Influencer Awards! Today!
The campaign begins with nominations which are open now (like, literally in the form, below, you guys)! From there, with our key partners, Miss FQ will select five finalists per category and soon after, you’ll be able to vote for your favourite influencer in each category on MissFQ.co.nz from 20 August, 2017. Voting will be open for two weeks.
After that, the winners will be announced at a VIP party on Wednesday 4 October, 2017 in Auckland where all of our finalists will be invited, as well as Miss FQ‘s closest friends and key partners.
The categories are:
Personality and Smile, brought to you by Colgate Optic White
Does this influencer’s personality and smile shine so bright that you feel like you could be BFFs? We are looking for someone who remains true to themself, who is positive, uplifting and inspirational, yet doesn’t prescribe to one certain lifestyle grouping on social media, such as fashion, beauty or fitspo; they do it all and they’re the online definition of ‘you do you’, making followers obsessed with seeing what they’re up to day-to-day.
Fashion, brought to you by Topshop
This influencer’s wardrobe must give you total outfit envy and inspire you to try new trends. We are looking for someone who lives and breathes fashion, who appreciates a perfectly curated outfit, and is uniquely skilled in mixing high and low (making them totally accessible in the style stakes as they appreciate an investment piece as well as an affordable find). We’re looking for the influencer who is total style #goals.
Beauty, brought to you by Estée Lauder
Is this influencer next level beauty obsessed? We are looking for someone who’s always up to date with the latest launches, often sharing their favourite products with their followers and talking about trends in a genuine and authentic way. If they like it, you’ll know about it, but they aren’t a sell out; you can totes trust their opinion – and their skills.
Fitspo, brought to you by Baby G
From wellness to workouts, this influencer is all about living a healthy lifestyle in a positive way. Exercise and healthy food obviously rank highly, but so does balance and body positivity, too. They’re encouraging, not preachy, and inspire you to get moving and eat better because it’ll make you feel good, girl! They also look the part as far as fitness fashion is concerned; you can count on them to tell you what’s cool and works well for your active lifestyle.
Food and Culture
Whether they cook it themselves or are the queen (or king) of eating out, their world seems revolve around what their next meal will be, as far as we can tell online at least. When it comes to recipes or reviews, it’s imperative that you trust their opinion, feel encouraged to branch out and try new foods, plus feel assured that they only promote products or eateries that they genuinely enjoy.
This person should give you heightened feelings of wanderlust, making you wish you were always on holiday and exploring new places. Whether they’re all about going on local adventures in their own backyard, or jetting off overseas, their snaps and videos should leave you wanting to travel the world or see more of New Zealand. If anyone asks what’s on your travel bucket list, you simply show this person’s account.
Calling all #bosses, we’re looking for an entrepreneurial influencer who’s best known for their business skills and being a hardworking hustler. Whether it’s via their personal account or it belongs to their brand, it’s important that the business person is the face, always inspiring their followers with their latest gig or innovations, and are constantly willing to provide advice or help to those who look up to them.
Up & Comer
Who’s the one to watch? We’re on the hunt for the next rising star, who might be a ‘micro influencer’ now but is pegged to be a household name sooner than you can say ‘obsessed’. It doesn’t matter which category they fit into, we want to find is NZ’s next big thing in the industry. And yes, they may enter another category, above, provided they meet the criteria, below.
- Nominees may enter themselves or be entered by someone else.
- Entries are open to New Zealand residents only.
- Individual, pair and group nominations will be eligible for for all categories – brands or businesses will also be eligible to entry the Business category.
- Nominees may enter more than one category but must provide a new nomination for each entry.
- All entries must include the nominee’s follower count on their highest followed platform at the time of entry.
- All entries must demonstrate evidence of the nominee’s influence.
- Influence will be determined by the following factors including, but not limited to, number of followers, engagement, quality of content, relatability, and authenticity.
- Nominees for the Up & Comer category must have less than 10,000 followers on their primary, or most-followed, platform (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat or Twitter) and can also be nominated for any of the other categories, provided they fit both requirements.
- Finalists will be chosen by Miss FQ, in collaboration with Colgate, Topshop, Estée Lauder and Baby G for their respective categories only.
